Project Management Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for project managers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

We use ProjectFork right now and it seems to be working fine, but we need something that's:

  • more user friendly
  • we host ourselves

Our standard requirements for functionality are:

  • Trouble Tickets / Support
  • Project Planning
  • Task Planning
  • Discussion / Forums
  • Wiki
  • Time Tracking

We would like for it to be something that's open source. Thanks.

Hi Girish, welcome to PMSE, the site for project management questions. Can you be more specific about what your exact problem is with ProjectFork? "User friendly" is pretty vague and will lead to many vague answers that might not solve your problem. So, please tell us what is so bad about ProjectFork. What does it NOT do well. Tell us about the problems you're facing with it and what other solutions you've tried. Also, check this pm-software tag search and see what's already been listed. – jmort253 Jun 2 '12 at 22:34
[cont'd] - In other words, make your question be different than just a recommendation question that's already been asked countless times on the Internet. I'm closing this question for now as not constructive, but if you edit your question and elaborate, please feel free to flag this question and we can look at reopening it. Thank you, and welcome to PMSE! :) – jmort253 Jun 2 '12 at 22:36
Hi Giresh, although this is closed, we can definitely reopen it if you can provide more detail about what you don't like about ProjectFork and a little more about your project. Just FYI, closing is a temporary "review" state and we have been known to reopen questions that get some TLC. Good luck! – jmort253 Jun 4 '12 at 22:31

As it currently stands, this question is not a good fit for our Q&A format. We expect answers to be supported by facts, references, or specific expertise, but this question will likely solicit debate, arguments, polling, or extended discussion. If you feel that this question can be improved and possibly reopened, see the FAQ for guidance.

I believe it's matter of personal taste and would like to recommend Redmine to you.

It does everything you listed, is very extensible and have plenty of plugins available.
