Burndowns are not Scrum artifacts as per the definition of the guide (although because of their usefulness you might be tempted to stretch the definition of what the word "artifact" means), but Scrum prescribes them to monitor progress towards goals (see the "Monitoring Progress Toward Goals" section in the Scrum Guide) | |
