I have a team of developers working on a project at the same table. I have a big television at the table with a mac mini attached to it.

I'd love to trigger an applause "Congrats Stefano" and an animation of fireworks every time a dev complete a Jira story.

Here what I need to do:

  1. intercept status changes in Jira issues. We already did this with a slack channel, so it's not a problem
  2. I plan to use zapier to take action. We already use it, no problems here.
  3. I need to find a way to remotely trigger a sound and animation on the mac mini.

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it looks like the question is just "I need to find a way to remotely trigger a sound and animation on the mac mini", which is a better fit for Stack Overflow or Ask Different. – Sarov Jun 5 at 13:04
  • And not a JIRA issue, because you already know how to do the whole JIRA related part. – Erik Jun 5 at 13:49

(And probably super annoying and distracting to your team, but that's another issue.) – Erik Jun 5 at 13:49
  • @Sarov my first thought was StackOverflow, but I was worried they'd say it's off topic there. – Stefano Giacone Jun 5 at 14:40

Erik has a point - have you discussed this with the Team and agreed it's a good idea? If not, it would be a waste of time and effort, so the answer is simple - "Don't". If yes, then the question is purely 'How do I do this', not 'is this a good idea', and therefore is a better fit for SO or AD than PMSE. – Sarov Jun 5 at 15:29
