This could be the reason but i firmly believe i am hired bcz i was expected to do the better job. Preparing lots of documents to support my change. Its a very small change but worth discussing to prove the point.

@DavidEspina : the problem is people dont like to be challenged or come out of their comfort zone. I do experience this many times but as a "consultant", you hire people to bring new ideas and gain their consulting knowledge. If you just want people to follow what is there from 20 years, you dont really need "consultants", you need monkeys.
